Work

For most of my time at Clemson I have worked part time. During covid and remote learning I worked at IGA as a cashier. After getting back to Clemson I worked at Zaxby's as a cashier and order taker for a little over a year. After leaving Zaxby's I worked at Bojangles for a few months as a kitchen worker. At all these places I worked around 25 hours a week learning skills needed to interact in customer service.

ASL CLUB

I joined ASL Club my first year at Clemson. It has allowed me to grow not just in using the language but also as a person. It has helped me meet new people and become more associated with the Deaf Community.

Clemson Ballroom Club

I also joined this club during my first semester at Clemson. It helped me a lot with learning how to push myself and learning how to make time for myself. Dance is something I have always loved but had never had a chance to do and this club was my chance to start learning. I was also able to step outside of my comfort zone here by even showing up as I had no idea what I was about to get myself into that first night.

Greenville West Coast Swing & Greenville Blues Fusion

Both of these dance clubs have been extremely beneficial for me. Neither were through Clemson, so they helped me get out of my comfort zone even more. They opened me up to new experiences and helped me with making time for myself and doing something I love. They have also helped me learn how to express myself.
